Our Vision

The Church of the Ascension, Woolston:

Welcome!

The Church of the Ascension has been at the heart of Woolston for 50 years.  We are a church community in East Warrington, and part of the Church of England. We are made up of people of all ages and backgrounds. Everyone is welcome at The Ascension, whether you are new to the area, would like to find out more about the Christian faith, are looking for some hope, or have been coming here for years!

We hold regular services at 11am on Sundays and 10am on Wednesdays.

The Church of the Transfiguration, Birchwood:

Thursday is our other busy day! We run a community cafe offering a cooked lunch from 11:30am until 1pm.  This is offered free but donations are always welcome. Plus we usually have Supermarket surplus food for collection. If you'd like to know more about either of these please do get in touch with us.  Or just come along!

The Bread and Butter Thing.

This offers around £35 of surplus food for £8.50 for anyone. Collection is from the Church of the Transfiguration between 1pm and 1:30pm on Thursdays. To sign up and place an order: Text 07860 063 304 with your full name, postcode, and "Birchwood", (the name of the hub you will be collecting from).

Join us also for our monthly activity ;  Quiz at the Church.
